Hola me llamo Sonia Tafoya
I was raised in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. I finished my High School at Preparatoria de El Chamizal in 1977 then I enrolled at UTEP where I got my Bachelor Degree in 1981. At UTEP I worked as a TA for two years in the Languages and Linguistics Department, then I worked at several Maquilas in Cd. Juarez as an Spanish Instructor for executives and engineers. I decided to move to San Diego, California and enrolled at SDSU where I got my Maters Degree in Spanish in 1991. In San Diego I worked as a part time instructor at San Diego City College, Grossmont College and my Alma Mater.
Now, I am very happy and proud to work here at NWECHS.
