Northwest Early College High School

Welcome to my webpage! I am one of the math teachers at Northwest Early College High School in Canutillo ISD.  This year will be my 6th year teaching high school math and my 8th year teaching college.  My students range from 10th to 12th, and the classes I currently teach are Dual Credit Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, and Financial Mathematics to all seniors. The clubs I sponsor are Science Bowl and the Northwest Environmental Club. 
I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics from the University of Texas at El Paso.  Go Miners!

I served in the United States Army for three years, where I was stationed in South Korea and Ft. Hood, TX.  After exiting the military, I worked as an academic tutor at El Paso Community College Northwest Campus and as a supplemental instruction leader for Precalculus and Calculus I at UTEP while attending college.  I have been an adjunct instructor at EPCC from January 2011 to this date, teaching leveling and credit courses.  My goal as an educator is to promote self-confidence and critical thinking skills that will prepare students to succeed in any math class, at the high school and college level.
