Faculty
The Northwest Early College HS faculty and staff consists of 17 instructors, 1, principal, 1 Dean of Students, 1 counselor, 1 Instructional Coordinator, 2.5 office staff, 1.5 custodians, 1 nurse and 5 cafeteria staff. The faculty members all have Master’s degrees and 3 have advanced degrees: J.D., Ph.D., and M.D. Over 70% of the faculty is SACS accredited and is able to offer students college credit in a variety of subjects.

Student Services
Students at the early college begin taking college credit courses as early as freshmen year. A blended curriculum of high school courses and college courses allows students to complete both the Texas high school diploma and the Associate’s degree. A comprehensive academic counseling program is provided to assist students in the selection of majors and courses leading up to the completion of the Associate’s degree. In addition, students have full access to the services provided at the El Paso Community College district. Library and tutorial services as well as use of computer labs and other dedicated programs are available to all students. In addition, students have full access to every EPCC campus.
Student Organizations
Student organizations are available to students. The Senior Class Council and Junior Class Council are leadership organizations with active membership that coordinate opportunities for student involvement. National Honor Society offers students opportunity to hone their leadership skills and provide community service. Academic UIL (University Interscholastic League) events are available for student participation including participation in High-Q. The Griffin Debate Team has had many outings and continues to grow strong. Alongside debate, the Mock Trial Team prepares in the fall for competition in the spring semester. Students can also participate in Mariachi, the Recycling Club and Yearbook.
Graduation and State Assessments
EPCC Graduates
As of the fall 2011 term, 28 students have graduated with an Associate’s degree from El Paso Community College. Eleven of these students continued their studies towards the bachelor’s degree during their senior year in high school at the University of Texas at El Paso under scholarship. Seven of these students will be returning to UTEP for a second semester during their senior year in high school.
