Pi Paper Chain World Record

Northwest Early College High School
World Record Holders of the Longest Paper Pi Chain

On March 14th, 2016 students and faculty members worked together too create the longest paper Pi Chain in the world!  It took from 9 am to 4 pm to create chains that amounted to 77,000 links, and from 4 to 7:30 to finish arranging all chains in the correct order.  This project was lead by our school's precalculus students.

Thank you Northwest Early College students, faculty, staff, and administration for making this happen.  Also a huge thanks to everyone who donated paper, Central Office you rock! Thank you Mr. Kimble and Alderete Middle School for your donation.

All paper will be used by the Recycling Club to create the dresses for the annual fashion show at El Paso Community College.  To symbolize our record, the precalculus students will be planting two trees at our campus that will be named Pi and 2Pi.
